Description
Early in 2022, the Department of Defense issued a memo halting the incineration of PFAS as a method of destruction for its activities. The memo stirred conversations in the water and wastewater sector regarding disposal and destruction methods.
This course reviews the status of PFAS regulations throughout the U.S., particularly at the state levels, and explains what the DoD memo could mean for utilities. Also covered are disposal liabilities for PFAS, especially if the chemicals get added to CERCLA and how this will impact the industry.
