This 3-part webinar series will include EPA regulations that govern watershed protection and how stormwater permitting plays a large role in watershed protection. This series will also include an overview of the 9 elements that the EPA requires for a watershed protection plan and how those are implemented. There will be a discussion of the stakeholders, and how the federal government is helping implement these plans with grants and funding. We will also cover how to determine what pollutants are a problem in the watershed and how to limit some of those pollutants.

The series will also cover a summary of why watershed protections sometimes fail and how to avoid those pitfalls. Most importantly, we will discuss water quality standards and how protecting the watershed greatly increases the quality of water in a region, state, territory, or tribal land.
