Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are known as the Forever Chemicals, but they do not have to be a Forever Problem. Water contaminated with PFAS can be found in groundwater, stormwater, drinking water, essentially any source of water. How to deal with the problem and what steps need to be taken to treat PFAS in water to be safe and compliant with current and future regulations can be a daunting task. This course is designed as a Primer to begin to develop the steps and strategies one concerned with PFAS mitigation must take before deciding on a treatment plan. This course also includes a discussion on current treatment applications, a brief discussion on upcoming treatment methods and future regulations.

- Identify which steps need to be taken before determining a treatment plan
