HEC-RAS is a rather complicated 1-D and 2-D hydraulics program that can be easily put together but also easily—and unknowingly—misused. And yes, even subtle misuses can have potentially significant effects on a project’s hydraulic results.

But former HEC staffer and expert HEC-RAS user Dr. David T. Williams is here to help… Join him for Stormwater University’s HEC-RAS Webinar Series! Programming Note: Since most HEC-RAS models are still performed in 1-D, this series will concentrate on only 1-D applications.

This comprehensive, four-session series for 1-D usage of HEC-RAS consists of 2 two-part webinars during which Dr. Williams will provide examples of these subtle misuses of HEC-RAS, including common geometric mistakes and misunderstandings of bridge parameters. Course material will be based upon Dr. Williams’ review of submitted models, his discussions with experienced users, his blogs on hydraulic and bridge modeling topics, and his HEC-RAS Steady and Unsteady course lecture notes.
