Description
Low Impact Development (LID) and Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GSI) allow us to manage water in a sustainable way, while delivering environmental, social and economic benefits to our communities. This course will discuss recent trends in this area, including onsite stormwater reuse; the use of native vegetation to aid with LID/GSI; bioretention and infiltration best practices; implementing LID/GSI in urban settings; and exploring local, state and federal initiatives for LID/GSI. Additionally, case studies illustrating these trends will be featured.
