Bio

Jennifer Hildebrand has been involved in the erosion and sediment industry for over 29 years. She has a master’s degree in Business Administration from Augsburg College, and specializes in compliance strategies within the Construction, MS4, and Industrial markets. She is a registered Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control, a registered Certified Professional in Stormwater Quality, and a registered Certified Erosion, Sediment, and Stormwater Inspector. Throughout her career, Jennifer has represented private and public clients in the environmental compliance industry throughout many of the 50 United States and several Canadian Provinces. She has made it her goal to educate and inform these markets regarding compliance program principles and proper environmental techniques. Jennifer has published a top selling industry book entitled Straight Talk: Strategies for Environmental Compliance.

 

Currently employed by PE Services, Inc., Jennifer’s experience and industry involvement allow PE Services to deliver excellence in environmental compliance to their clients. Her specialties include environmental compliance issues, training and awareness programs, site inspection programs, compliance program design, and site plan reviews. She has developed and delivered education and compliance programs in both the construction and post construction stormwater market. Her involvement in the construction industry has provided her with valuable experience in a wide variety of stormwater compliance products and services. As a result, Jennifer has developed a selection of technologies that involve several methods of hydraulic application techniques and biotechnical stabilization practices throughout the United States and Canada. This private industry experience and public representation experience not only provides opportunities for facilitation of appropriate stormwater, erosion, sediment, control programs and techniques but also illuminates the challenges and opportunities that exist in post construction phases of stormwater compliance.

 

Jennifer has gained valuable insight into the realities of land development, commerce, and environmental impacts of the stormwater industry because of her involvement with non-profit entities, as well as the private sector of this business. She has delivered numerous presentations on proper management practices and installation techniques along with full day programs on erosion and sediment control practices and numerous product specific presentations. Her presentations and classes have been conducted in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Illinois, Wisconsin, Idaho, Indiana, Michigan, Tennessee, New Mexico, California, Nevada, Kentucky, North Carolina, West Virginia, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Wyoming, Alaska, New York, Texas, Puerto Rico, Florida, Virginia, Montana, Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Quebec, Nova Scotia, and Manitoba. She has spoken and presented materials at multiple government agencies and Departments of Transportation. She has been a part of specifications and standards development for Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, Virginia, Florida, California, Texas, North and South Dakota, and Manitoba. Jennifer has made it her goal to educate and inform the public and private sector markets regarding stormwater compliance. These principals, whether during or after construction, highlight proper installation techniques and appropriate design standards as well as potential pitfalls of improper field applications.
