Bio | Heather Lea Merenda has worked in the environmental field since 1992, in both the public and private sector. She works for the City of Santa Clarita Environmental Services Division in environmental compliance, grants, capital project management, restoration/invasive weed management, water quality monitoring and green building. Recent projects include design, funding and construction of a 2.5 million gallon capacity regional stormwater infiltration BMP for the Upper Santa Clara River, managing the WaterTalks needs assessments for underserved communities, arundo removal from the Santa Clara River, construction and operation of public, energy efficiency programs and building electric vehicle charging stations. She is a LEED Professional, QSD, and a CPSWQ. She has a MPA degree from CSU Northridge and a Bachelor’s degree in Geography/Environmental Science from CSU Long Beach. She serves as a board member on the Safe Clean Water funding measure and the Santa Clara River Conservancy. |
