Crafting a QA/QC Process for the Long Haul

Learn what you/your organization can do to create or improve upon your current QA/QC process, what public or private customers should look for from those they hire, and how to navigate this process together.

0.1 CEU/1 PDH

Quality work is important no matter what side of the table you are on. If you are paying for a report, set of plans, constructed project, or testing, you want complete, accurate, functional, and timely results. If you are providing a service, you want projects that function, decisive and informative statements, and—most of all—satisfied customers.

Preventing lengthy delays, budget overruns, or lawsuits is preferable and relatively painless. A solid quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) program will provide assurance that products meet a minimum standard acceptable to those writing the checks.

Join Stormwater University as returning speaker Heather Seitz (Project Specialist, ICON Engineering) details what you/your organization can do to create or improve upon your current QA/QC process, what public or private customers should look for from those they hire, and how to navigate this process together.

Learning Objectives:

  • Explain the definitions of Quality Assurance and Quality Control
  • Define each of the roles involved in the QA and QC process
  • List three ideas that will help a QA/QC process stand the test of time
  • Discuss what a customer can expect from the QA/QC process of a consultant/contractor
  • Name three things a producer/customer team can do to work through issues
