Jen Jenkins joined The Nature Conservancy in November 2019 as part of the Chicago Urban Conservation team. As Natural Infrastructure Project Manager she works with partners and local communities in advancing TNC’s efforts to apply nature-based solutions to address the impacts of climate change, specifically urban stormwater issues across Chicago and Cook County, Illinois. Her work includes helping partners at the Metropolitan Planning Council establish the first stormwater credit trading market in Illinois, StormStore™, through development of demonstration projects that show the environmental, economic, and social benefits of this innovative environmental marketplace. Jen holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Virginia and is also in the process of completing her master’s degree in Urban Planning and Policy from University of Illinois at Chicago. She previously worked for over a decade as a water resource engineer with Ecology and Environment, Inc. (now WSP) and is a licensed professional engineer in the state of Illinois.
